CSSViewer

CSSViewer: A Powerful Chrome Extension for CSS Properties Viewing

Introduction

Discover the power of CSSViewer, a simple yet powerful Chrome extension that allows you to easily view CSS properties of any element on a webpage. Originally developed as a Firefox add-on by Nicolas Huon from 2006 to 2008, CSSViewer has been ported to Chrome with minor enhancements.

How to Use CSSViewer

Using CSSViewer is incredibly easy. With just a few clicks, you can gain valuable insights into the CSS properties of any element on a webpage. Simply click on the CSSViewer toolbar icon and then hover over the element you want to inspect. Instantly, CSSViewer will display the CSS properties, making it an indispensable tool for web developers, designers, and anyone working with CSS.

Open Source and Privacy

CSSViewer is an open-source project hosted on GitHub, allowing developers to contribute and make improvements. You can find the source code at [https://github.com/miled/cssviewer](https://github.com/miled/cssviewer). This commitment to openness ensures the continuous enhancement of CSSViewer.

When it comes to privacy, CSSViewer respects your data. While it requires permission to access your history and website data for proper functionality, rest assured that it does not collect or transmit any of your private information. Your privacy is always protected.

Known Issues

  • Compatibility: CSSViewer may not work on tabs that were open before installing the extension, as well as on the Google Chrome store itself. However, for most webpages, CSSViewer functions flawlessly.
  • CSS Breakage: In rare cases, the CSS styles may break depending on the complexity of the website you are browsing. This is due to the intricacies of different site structures. Rest assured that the CSSViewer community actively welcomes patches and contributions to address any issues and improve the extension's overall functionality.

Credits and Changelog

It's nice, but outdated and abandoned. If you want something more powerful, try SuperDev Pro.

Pretty helpful, to copy you need to click F to freeze the screen then copy it.
